Pumping is an efficient, reliable and economical means of placing concrete. Concrete pumps are used where the chutes of a concrete truck can’t reach such as at the construction of high-rise building. The ease and speed of pumping concrete also makes it a more economical method of concrete placement.
Concrete Pumps are specially designed to transfer fluid concrete through hoses or pipes to deliver ready mixed concrete to locations not readily accessible otherwise.

Truck-mounted concrete pumps are heavy-duty construction machines for placing concrete. The primary concern when utilizing a pump truck during a pumped concrete pour is the safe positioning of the truck where the boom can reach the concrete placement site. The pump truck and boom can only be used when the conditions are entirely safe. Prior to extending the boom on a new job site the following checks need to be in place: there are no over hanging power lines, no obstructions such as cranes, scaffolding or buildings, and that the pump truck is firmly stabilised.
Boom concrete pumps are used for concrete pours for everything from slabs and medium high-rise buildings, to large volume commercial and industrial projects. Utranazz is the only company in the UK to offer a Trailer Pump with its own placing boom. Used for their high manoeuvrability, suitability for confined areas where there are access or weight restrictions, and long reach on high-rise and other large-scale projects.
Booms for these trailers can come in configurations of three and four sections, with a low unfolding height of about 5 metres. This low unfolding height is ideal for placing concrete in confined areas. Longer, five-part booms can reach up 65 metres (213 feet) and reach out up to 300 metres.
