Mini-Mix Concrete Mixers
Construction jobs located in remote areas often experience difficulties in getting a reliable supply of concrete delivered to the site. A solution to this is to either hire or purchase small concrete mixers to produce high quality concrete on demand, thereby reducing the high cost of labour.
The CARMIX line is a series of self-loading, compact mobile units which mix concrete on site. Unlike traditional ready mix trucks, the smaller CARMIX concrete mixers are delivered to the site on a flatbed truck and stay for the pour.
The economic value to remote construction sites is that they can reduce their labor costs quite considerably by investing in compact mixers that can negotiate the difficult terrain. Site managers won't have to have construction workers waiting for the ready-mix truck to arrive, some armed with wheelbarrows because the truck can’t always move close enough, either because the truck is too big or the ground too soft. With the Carmix truck, just two workers are needed, one to operate the truck and the other to direct the pour.
The units produce concrete in small batches, with the smallest producing 1.0 cubic metres of concrete at a time and the largest producing 5.5 cubic metres. With all of the materials required for the job on site, new batches of concrete can be mixed quickly. On the bigger 5.5 cubic meter output unit, five batches of concrete can be mixed and delivered every two hours with the concrete being only 15 minutes old by the time it is poured.
The mini concrete mixers allow contractors to expand their geographic range of business where full-sized trucks would make some projects uneconomical. These mini-mixers can scoot through small alleys between buildings and can negotiate tight corners so ideal for the urban market such as underground parking buildings or for pouring in tight spots between buildings.
