Volumetric Concrete Mixer Developed Specifically for the UK Market

THE HM12H-E

Utranazz has launched a new volumetric concrete mixer designed in conjunction with American manufacturer Holcombe Mixers, to meet specific demands of the UK market. The HM12H-E is the most simple-to-use and easy to maintain volumetric concrete mixer available in the UK. They have a patented removable cassette conveyor, which is a slide-out component held in place by eight bolts. Upon removing the 8 bolts the entire conveyor assembly will slide out the back of the mixer and allow the user to simply slide in a new conveyor cassette, a process that takes just 5 hours, keeping downtown to the absolute minimum*.

Volumetric Concrete Mixer Trucks: The Advantages

Volumetric concrete mixer trucks are a cost-effective method used to produce exact quantities and to a precise mix as required by job sites. Raw materials are stored in separate compartments and mixed on demand reducing waste significantly.  Further advantages driving the growing interest in this type of concrete equipment is that they eliminate the need for part load charges or the risk that concrete has been over or under ordered thereby affecting onsite time management and profit margins. A volumetric concrete mixer, which is similar in principle to a mobile batching plant, allows for the mixing of exact quantities so project managers only pay for what is used. Quality assured concrete is delivered, making this type of concrete mixer particularly effective for remote building sites.

Volumetric versus Standard

A standard concrete mixer truck blends the cement, aggregates and water together on route to the construction site. This means there is a limited amount of time before the concrete has to be discharged otherwise it becomes what is known as 'hot load' and water has to be added to maintain the correct consistency. However, the addition of water does start to have some impact on the quality of the delivered concrete. If distance is a factor, a volumetric concrete mixer is likely to be the best option. They are also good for short loads or fast setting concrete recipes.  A volumetric concrete mixer therefore has a smaller carbon foot print - reduction in concrete waste disposal and less travel to deliver concrete.

How New Volumetric Concrete Mixer Meets UK Requirements

Utranazz, the concrete equipment specialist, has launched a new volumetric concrete mixer designed in conjunction with American manufacturer Holcombe Mixers, to meet specific demands of the UK market. The first model to be released is called the HM12H-E. The 9.4m3 capacity, 50m3/hour output concrete mixer is aesthetically modern in design. They are the most simple to use and easy to maintain volumetric concrete mixer available in the UK and allows operators to carry the maximum amount of raw materials permitted.

Time Efficiency

One of the most frustrating things for volumetric concrete mixer users is the time it takes to change a conveyor belt - on average, 2 days. In answer to this dilemma the HM12H-E has a patented removable cassette conveyor, which is a slide-out component held in place by eight bolts. Upon removing the 8 bolts the entire conveyor assembly will slide out the back of the mixer and allow the user to simply slide in a new conveyor cassette, a process that takes just 5 hours, keeping downtown to the absolute minimum.

Consistent Performance

Another common complaint of UK volumetric users is that their hydraulic systems run 100% at all times. This puts a heavy strain on the hydraulic system and causes higher failure rates on wear parts. The HM12H-E is fitted with a unique load-sensing variable displacement hydraulic system, which scales to higher and lower levels of output based on how much need is called for by the system. Therefore, if it's not in use, it won't be pressurised. This system ensures that wear parts will last twice as long, providing a value for money solution.  The new volumetric concrete mixer comes equipped with many standard items that would only be supplied as optional extras with other volumetric.

The new volumetric concrete mixer is an ideal addition to the construction industry looking to cut costs and deliver concrete of the highest quality as and when needed. Items include: roll-over sheet, electronic measuring system, ticket printer, friction-less conveyor system, hydraulic chute control and wireless remote control.

Not sure about buying a volumetric concrete mixer which is new to market?

Here, one of our customers shares his feedback following the purchase of a HM12H-E:

I have been operating a fleet of volumetric concrete mixers for 12 years now, so when Utranazz introduced the HM12H-E I decided to give one a try. I’ve worked with Utranazz for many years and I trust their products, which are always of good build quality. The volumetric mixer is extremely user friendly and easy to maintain. It has less electronics than other brands of volumetric mixers, which I prefer, as in my experience electronics and concrete don’t mix well!  My mixers work hard, and I found the HM12H-E to be reliable day in, day out. Whenever we’ve had any maintenance issues the team at Utranazz are always on hand to give advice and support – their service and back-up is second-to-none. One of the best features of this machine is the removable cassette conveyor, which makes replacing the conveyor belt quick and simple.   I was so impressed with Utranazz’s volumetric mixer that I have just replaced 3 of my Reimer’s with the HM12H-E.” Nigel Leach, Managing Director, King Concrete - Croydon
