A Utranazz Guide to Concrete Batching Plants

No one understands concrete equipment quite like Utranazz, with over 50 years of experience as the UK’s leading experts in concrete equipment, we are the first choice for advice on anything to do with concrete.

We have noticed that we are getting a lot of questions about our concrete batching plants recently and with lots of deliveries going out in the past months, we thought that it would be great for our customers to have an all-in-one guide.

With everything from how concrete batching plants work to what are concrete batching plants? We’ll answer all of your questions and provide you with helpful advice.

Wet Concrete Batching Plants

Wet concrete batching plants can bring a lot of benefits to any large building site or concrete supplier. The batching plant mixes a mixture of raw materials (aggregates, water, additives, cement and many more) to form wet concrete in large batches. The concrete is then ready for use on site or it can be transported in a vehicle such as a standard transit mixer.

As part of our wet concrete batching plants range, we have the TechnoMix, Semix Mobile 60 and TechnoMix 4-LT.

The Mobile 60 range of wet concrete batching plants are also fully mobile and can be up and running within 24 hours of arrival on site. The plant is designed to be “plug-and-play” unit and arrives completely pre-assembled including an integrated air-conditioned control cabin. The plant is capable of producing up to 130m3 of wet concrete per hour.

The TechnoMix is the perfect choice for a portable batching plant. It doesn’t require a crane for assembly and can be up and running in only a few hours.

The TecnoMix LT range of wet concrete batching plants are semi-mobile. The aggregate bins are fully mobile, whilst the pan mixer is static, providing users with the quality expected from a fixed plant at a significantly reduced cost. The TecnoMix LT plants can be up and working within 2 days, making them suited to sites with limited space or to users that do not want to invest in an expensive static plant. The TecnoMix LT plants are so versatile they can operate as either a wet or a dry plant via a specially designed mechanical system.

Dry Concrete Batching Plants

A dry concrete batching plant from Utranazz is ideal for users who want the best of both world, combining high outputs of dry concrete and a transportable plant. Four off-loading legs enable the concrete batching plant to be loaded and unloaded from a truck without the use of a crane.

Every batching plant is custom made to suit customer specifications, available in a choice of two, three or four bins with output capacities from 25 – 80m3 per hour.

Every plant comes fitted with load cells and a digital display with printer to enable constant control of raw materials. Utranazz can supply a wide array of accessories to work alongside all mobile concrete batching plants including: ad-mixture plants, low-level or upright cement silos, aggregate feeders and water chillers.

Self-Loading Concrete Batching Plants

A lot of our pre-cast customers opt for our range of self-loading concrete batching plants. While they are ideal for pre-cast applications, the versatility of the plant makes its perfect for building and construction sites as it offers concrete production 24/7.

The plant is fitted with a radial scraper that loads the aggregates into a weigh hopper via a 12 recipe programmable computer. It then discharges the aggregates from the weigh hopper into either a pan mixer, drum mixer or dry belt conveyor.

All of Utranazz self-loading batching plants are semi-mobile and can be supplied with or without cement silos or bag splitters. The concrete batching plants can be electrically powered or diesel driven with computer weighing systems having a capacity of up to 36 different programmable settings, manual, semi/fully-automatic control panels, water systems and the option of ad-mixture plants.
