Q. DO YOU NEED PLANNING PERMISSION FOR LOW-LEVEL CEMENT SILOS?
No, planning permission is not required for low-level cement silos because they are fully mobile. They are designed to be delivered, positioned, and removed without permanent foundations or fixed groundworks. As they are not permanently fixed to land, they are typically classified as temporary or movable equipment.
Q. WHAT ARE THE POWER REQUIREMENTS FOR LOW-LEVEL CEMENT SILOS?
Low-level cement silos require a 3-phase, 32-amp power supply to operate effectively. This powers essential components, including the screw conveyor, level indicators, control panel, and filtration system.
Q. WHAT ARE THE GROUND FLOOR REQUIREMENTS FOR LOW-LEVEL CEMENT SILOS?
Low-level cement silos must be positioned on a suitable concrete slab or hardstanding that can safely support their weight when fully loaded. A ground engineer should carry out a site survey to assess ground conditions and confirm the slab specification, including thickness, load-bearing capacity, and reinforcement.
Q. ARE WATER TANKS INCLUDED WITH LOW-LEVEL CEMENT SILOS?
Water tanks are only included as standard on full-specification low-level cement silo models. For other models, water tanks can be supplied on request. Depending on site requirements and available space, we can provide an integrated water tank or a separate, standalone water tank.
Q. WHAT IS THE RIGHT AUGER LENGTH FOR LOW-LEVEL CEMENT SILOS?
Low-level cement silos are supplied with a standard auger length of 6,500 mm, suitable for most typical site layouts and discharge requirements. If your site has specific space constraints, height restrictions, or unique equipment layouts, we can supply custom auger lengths.
Q. DO ALL LOW-LEVEL CEMENT SILOS HAVE A REMOTE?
No, a remote control is not included as standard on all low-level cement silos. It is supplied as standard only with the 32/DE-B silo model. For other low-level silo models, a remote control can be supplied as an optional extra.
