What a concrete pump offers to improve efficiencies and budget

What a concrete pump offers to improve efficiencies and budget Concrete pumps are designed to place concrete as efficiently and effectively as possible while reducing manpower on a construction site. Efficient because they place concrete as close as possible to where it is required without affecting the quality of concrete through over handling it.  How does a concrete pump work? A concrete mixer truck discharges ready made concrete into a hopper on the back of the concrete pump truck. The hopper has an auger that churns the concrete keeping it liquid and flowable so that it doesn't clog up the hoses in the boom. Concrete gets sucked into the hose via a valve system and pumped through to where it needs to be placed. There are two types of valve systems - 'S' or ball-valve systems. The power for operating the concrete pump is provided by the engine, which drives the hydraulic system. Types of concrete pumps There are mainly two types of concrete pumps; truck-mounted boom pumps and trailer-mounted pumps. Truck-mounted concrete pumps use a remote controlled articulating robotic arm known as a boom to place the concrete exactly where it is required. These pumps are suited for civil and industrial building projects and renovations. Boom lengths vary from 21 to 65 metres with 4, 5 or 6 boom sections depending on length and folding configuration. These concrete pumps can reach great vertical and horizontal distances thereby enabling greater creativity in architectural designs. Trailer-mounted concrete pumps are designed for quick and easy set-up on busy building sites where space and manoevability are a premium. They are used where a ready-mix concrete mixer truck can't gain access to the construction site such as the placement of a basement floor on a fenced off residential site where the only possible access is via a small trailer-mounted pump, which uses a boom section articulation to reach the exact place where concrete pour is required. They reach great heights or distances across the building site which makes them an excellent value for money choice and they are also ideal choice to use on job sites requiring high volumes of concrete but where there are access or weight restrictions.  The trailer mounted concrete pump has a single axle for easy manoeuvrability. It has a large capacity hopper with agitator and electric vibrator on the hopper grid. It uses “S”-valve technology and has a hydraulically controlled high pressure water pump. Advantages of using a truck-mounted or trailer-mounted concrete pump Places concrete at a faster rate Able to place concrete in inaccessible construction sites with the use of a robotic boom Reduces labour costs Concrete placement is not hampered by weather conditions Efficient, cost-effective high quality concrete placement Utranazz will be able to help you determine which type of concrete pump is the best choice for your construction jobs. Selecting the right piece of equipment the first time is important not only in order to finish the projects on time, but to save you the hassle of having to deal with a concrete pump that isn't a good match.
